A regular contributor to Arts magazine, New York, Virginia Mann has also been guest editor for numerous museum publications and exhibition catalogues in New York and New England.
She received her B.A. from the University of California, did graduate work at Yale and Columbia Universities, and held positions on the staffs of Yale University Art Gallery, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. She has also lectured on contemporary art and served on panels for the National Endowment for the Arts, the International Council of Museums, and the Connecticut Commission on the Arts.
She lives in the Bay Area with her Labrador Retriever, Bi-Ku. Water Studies is her first novel.
